The oldest museum in the state, it was founded in 1831. The exhibits depict the natural diversity of Alabama from the Age of Dinosaurs, the Coal Age, and the Ice Age. Collections include items relating to geology, zoology, mineralogy, paleontology, ethnology, history, and photography.

The Children’s Hands-On Museum is a private, non-profit, community-based organization. The idea for CHOM began in 1984 with a group of children in the Tuscaloosa County Schools’ TARGET program. Their idea gained support from the community, and in 1986, CHOM opened on the University of Alabama campus. CHOM relocated to downtown Tuscaloosa in November 1988, and it reopened in January 1989.

The Paul W. Bryant Museum is located on the campus of the University of Alabama, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.Founded in 1985, the museum was opened in 1988 to "house the history of Alabama football, with special emphasis on the legendary coach" Bear Bryant.On the suggestion of former head football coach Paul "Bear" Bryant, a planning committee was created in 1981 to establish a museum that would honor former coaches and players who helped Bryant set the intercollegiate coaching record for the most victories. The committee considered Bryant's suggestion and established that the museum would take on two missions: "inclusion of the entire football history from the first team in 1892 and creating a collections component establishing the foundation of our current institution". About a third of the collection is about coach Bryant.

My great stay.

Mr. Huey has really been heaven sent he really looked out for me and helped my stay here very enjoyable. The care he has for people is so uncommon these days. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants friendliness and cleanliness. I'm overjoyed.

Great place to stay!

My stay at the Centerstone inn Was the best choice I had made for me and my family to stay. Huey was a great guide and the staff made us feel right at home. The Rooms where clean and they smelled great to, the hotel was very clean and I’m very pleased with my stay. The morning breakfast was fresh and had a great taste to it. Best experience

Our man Huey did us right, let us get checked In early, and even gave us a huge deal. After alday day traveling, Huey made it easy for us to get check in and fast so we could get off our feet and into a room. Centerstone Inn and Suites has the cleanest rooms and there price. Thanks Huey for being considerate of others.

Great Stay

This hotel is great place to stay. Conveniently located right of I-20 I've been staying here for over 3 weeks on business, and this place has been very good to me. The manager Huey is awesome. Huey had been very helpful throughout my stay. He really cares about his patrons. The entire staff is very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are quite spacious, and the bed is very comfortable. I would definitely consider staying here again.

Great Hotel

The front desk staff was definitely attentive and the General Manager, Huey was wonderful. I’m glad I chose to stay in here.The staff was so kind and professional. Mr. Huey made sure me and my grandchildren was taken care. him and his staff went way and beyond to make sure our stay was pleasant. I will make sure I will stay here again.
